This is the perfect review course that covers the recognition, diagnosis and treatment of the 26 soft tissue lesions that every dentist and hygienist should know and treat appropriately. The educational teaching methodology used in this course is a self-study lecture presented via pre-recorded webinar in concert with an accompanying PowerPoint presentation. Both the pre-recorded webinar and the PowerPoint presentation incorporate a variety of audio and visual cues to enhance audience members’ understanding and retention of key concepts.

Course Objectives

At the completion of this course the participants should be able to:

  1. Differentiate oral herpes from aphthous stomatitis and apply newest treatment recommendations.
  2. Demonstrate a logical approach to the diagnosis of the 26 most common oral soft tissue lesions.
  3. Integrate therapeutic regimens used to treat selected oral diseases.
  4. Diagnose and apply newest treatment recommendations for erosive lichen planus and chronic ulcerative stomatitis.
  5. Recognize the implications of white lesions found in the oral cavity and diagnose and treat appropriately.
  6. Diagnose salivary gland tumors of the oral cavity and understand the treatment implication of the various tumors.
  7. Applying practical clinical information immediately applicable to everyday practice.
