Course Description

Oral Pathology

This course is designed to cover a wide range of oral pathologic lesions, including oral manifestations of systemic diseases, syndromes, and other various pathology entities. Numerous topics will be discussed with a an emphasis on identification and management of oral pathologic conditions.

“The educational teaching methodology used in this course is live, interactive lecture presented via Zoom webinar with an accompanying PowerPoint presentation. Both the live webinar and the PowerPoint presentation incorporate a variety of audio and visual cues to enhance audience members’ understanding and retention of key concepts. In addition, question and answer periods are provided for at the conclusion of each section of the live webinar.”

Course Objectives

At the completion of this course the participants should be able to:

Identify various pathologic conditions of the oral cavity.
Discuss various syndromes affecting the oral cavity and their relevance to the oral health care professional.
Determine management plans for patients presenting with a variety of oral pathologic lesions.
