Course Description

CBCT, Implants, Oral Diagnosis, Radiology

This video series is designed for dental professionals involved in implant planning and placement utilizing 3D imaging (CBCT). These videos should generally be watched following BeamReaders ‘On-Demand CBCT Education Series’ which includes ‘CBCT Foundations,’ ‘Understanding 3D Anatomy,’ and ‘CBCT Search Pattern.’ These eight (8) CBCT and Implant Dentistry videos by BeamReaders Oral and Maxillofacial Radiologist Dr. Kaycee Walton cover scan acquisition, scanning appliances, quantitative and qualitative assessment, considerations for doing immediate implants, grafts, virtual planning and common anatomic variants. These videos may be used as a reference and continuing education tool. They are not designed to replace formal and hands on training on placing dental implants, but rather as a supplementary tool.

The educational teaching methodology used in this course is a self-study lecture presented via pre-recorded webinar in concert with an accompanying PowerPoint presentation. Both the pre-recorded webinar and the PowerPoint presentation incorporate a variety of audio and visual cues to enhance audience members’ understanding and retention of key concepts.
