Alyssa Stiles is a Licensed Massage Therapist, Registered Dental Hygienist, Expanded Functions Dental Assistant, and Orofacial Myologist.
In 2016, Alyssa established Pittsburgh’s first and premier orofacial myofunctional therapy clinic: Pittsburgh Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy, LLC. Since its inception, it has expanded its service offerings. She and her team of multidisciplinary providers now offer other services, such as massage therapy, occupational therapy, lactation support, infant/pediatric feeding therapy, and speech therapy. Alyssa has developed a particular interest in helping people with obstructive sleep-related breathing disorders and orofacial pain.
Alyssa taught in the University of Pittsburgh’s dental hygiene program and in other local expanded functions dental assisting programs. She continues to educate other dental providers and orofacial myologists as a national speaker. She has lectured for American Dental Hygienists’ Association, the International Association of Airway Hygienists, Young Innovations, and several dental study clubs. She also authored Simon Sucks His Toes, a choose-your-own-adventure style book for children with finger-sucking habits.
Alyssa is currently on the International Association of Orofacial Myology’s Board of Directors and serves as a trustee for the Pennsylvania Dental Hygienists’ Association.
