Bradford Towne

Bradford Towne, DMD graduated from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in 1977. This was followed by a US Army General Practice Residency at Fort Leonard Wood Army Hospital. Upon completing his 2 year obligation he was accepted into the Oral and Maxillofacial Residency Program at the Medical University of South Carolina. He received his certificate in 1983. The next 28 years were spent in a highly successful private practice in Vermont. While in private practice he developed an interest in minimally invasive facial esthetic procedures. Upon retiring from private practice he joined Boston University Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine in the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. His teaching responsibilities included both pre doctoral students and OMS residents providing both didactic and clinical education. In addition he was invited to conduct numerous CME courses at BUSDM, including a weeklong “cruise and learn” seminar for dentists. While at BUSDM he authored a Chapter on Minimally Invasive Facial Procedures as well as coauthored the text: “Neurotoxins and Fillers in Facial Esthetic Surgery”. Dr. Towne has been invited to speak at many different meetings and groups including the Yankee Dental Congress, American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, Vermont State Dental Society, Massachusetts Dental Society, Massachusetts Society of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons and the Illinois Prairie Dental Society among others. Dr. Towne is a diplomate of The American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and the National Board of Dental Anesthesia. He is also a Fellow in both the American College of Dentists and International College of Dentists. He is a retired Fellow of the AAOMS, MSSOMS, ADSA, and ACOMS, SSOMS. In addition he is a retired member of the ADA, MDS.
