Course Description
Periodontics
This course is crafted to provide dental professionals with a profound comprehension of the periodontal classification system and its application through a case-based approach. Diverse case studies will be used to distinguish various stages and grades, supported by rationales grounded in the criteria of the new classification system. The course content will immerse attendees in the intricacies of periodontal diseases, guiding them through various stages of diseases and offering practical insights into decoding complex cases through real-world examples.
The educational teaching methodology used in this course is live, interactive lecture presented via Zoom webinar with an accompanying PowerPoint presentation. Both the live webinar and the PowerPoint presentation incorporate a variety of audio and visual cues to enhance audience members’ understanding and retention of key concepts. In addition, question and answer periods are provided for at the conclusion of each section of the live webinar.
Course Objectives
At the completion of this course the participants should be able to:
- Define the key components of the 2017 periodontal classification system.
- Explain the nuances of different classifications and their application for treatment planning.
